　　十四都村具有500多年历史，其村域范围内有多处古建筑，其中马鞍山古民居、藏绿周氏宗祠为省级文保单位。2016年,该村被第四批中国传统村落名录、省级历史文化重点村，2017年列入中央财政支持范围的中国传统村落名单.

　　十四都村一直以“耕读传家”为传统，据资料记载，藏绿周氏在清朝和民国二百余年间出一品5人，二品9人，进士4人，翰林3人，举人23人，各类贡生50余人，太学生128人。其中监察御史、户部员外郎、内阁中书、同知、知州、知府、知县多达70余人，还有中将1人、少将5人、上海特別市部长1人。在当代，有中国工程院院士周立伟，《辞海》大字典编委周颂棣。
