龙门古镇地处富春江龙门山下，离富阳约16公里。古镇四面皆山，大山头盘踞于西隅，龙门山崛起于东南，剡溪与龙门溪交汇于镇北。

Longmen ancient town is located in the Fuchun River, Longmen mountain, about 16 kilometers away from Fuyang. The ancient town surrounded by mountains, the mountains head sits on the west of Longmen mountain, Longmen Mountain rise in the southeast, Shan River and Longmen River interchange in the north of the town.

　　“此处山清水秀，胜似吕梁龙门”，东汉严子陵畅游龙门山时赞叹不已，古镇也因此得名。这是一座以卵石铺成的古镇，卵石的小路、卵石的墙垣，给人以一种别样的视觉冲击。经过多年的风雨洗刷、侵蚀，卵石变得圆润光滑，踩在上面好比享受着免费的脚底按摩。一颗颗光滑的卵石，也是古镇历史的最好见证。

“Here is a picturesque scenery, better than Lvliang Longmen.” Yan ziling praised greatly when he visited Longmen Mountain, hence the name of the town. This is a pebble paved Town, gravel road, cobble walls, in order to give people a different visual impact. After years of rain washing and erosion, the pebbles become rounded and smooth. Stepping on them is like enjoying free foot massage. The smooth pebble is also the best witness of ancient town history.

　　镇子里有着江南地区保存最完整且极为罕见的明清古建筑群，民居、牌楼、祠堂、塔、寺等应有尽有，伴着古樟、小桥、溪水，构成了一道古镇独特的风景。

The town has best preserved and extremely rare ancient buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties southern region, houses, arches, ancestral hall, temple, tower, and everything, with the ancient camphor trees, bridges, streams, constitute a unique landscape of the ancient town.

　　一路沿龙门溪而上，只见山道逶迤，山岩森列，两侧奇峰异石凸出，形似钟鼓。谷中溪水萦绕，林木苍翠，漫步期间，身心随之轻盈起来。走着，走着，渐有忽轻忽重的水声入耳，寻声而去，但见断壁陡峭，飞瀑直泻，落差百米，宛如白练当空，跌入龙潭，珠雾迷蒙，如入绝佳仙境。郁达夫在《龙门山题壁》诗中赞曰：天外银河一道斜，四山飞瀑尽鸣蛙。明朝我欲扶桑去，可许砚边泛钓搓。

Along the Longmen River, the road winding, mountain rock display, both sides have strange rocks bulge, protruding like bells and drums. In the valley, the stream is haunting, the trees are green, and the body and mind are light during the walk. Step by step, gradually suddenly has soft or heavy voice into the ear, following the sound, just can see the cliff steep and waterfalls, divide 100 meters, like a white silk in the sky, fell into the Dragon pool, has pearl misty fog, such as the wonderful fairyland. Yu Dafu said in the "Longmen mountain wall poetry " : the day outside the the galaxy is an oblique, four mountains have waterfalls as frogs. I want to go to the Ming Dynasty, shall I fishing in the edge of the ink stone.”
