A few days ago, Zhou Ziyan, an early childhood teacher of Wenzhou No.6 Kindergarten, returned to China after supporting education in Africa. Local media reported that, she made African children know China with dance.
Now Zhou Ziyan has her own views about Africa: children don’t have printed exercise books in Africa. Teachers draw lines to make every exercise book and let children color, trace. All children’s schoolbags are second hand schoolbags from China, Japan and South Korea. They eat every bite of candies and snacks they get and finally lick their fingers and desks.
Zhou Ziyan said, the most she heard are “jambo” and “karibu” which mean “hello” and “welcome” in Kiswahili. There are quiet smiles with less noisy of city, without surrounded by high-rise buildings, we return to white walls and bungalow.
Zhou Ziyan said that next she will have more arrangements about supporting education, “I hope every path I choose is because of love, disregard my personal gain or loss. I think it is always me who can make myself be better.
