花岙岛省级地质公园，位于象山高塘岛乡花岙岛的东北端，岛以多花多岙得名，又因岛北有一巨岩形似大佛又名大佛山。这是一个以火山岩地貌和海蚀、海积地貌为主体，自然生态、人文景观极其丰富的综合性地质遗迹公园。

Hua’ao Island Provincial Geological Park is located at the northeast end of Hua’ao island of Gao Tang Island of Xiangshan County. The island is named for its many flowers and many aos( a piece of flat land in a mountain range). Because there is a huge stone like Buddha at the north of the island, it is also called "Big Buddha Hill". This is a comprehensive geological heritage park with rich cultural landscape, and make volcanic features, Marine erosion and Marine landform as the main body.

　　《中国国家地理》曾这样描述花岙石林：国内的柱状节理群虽然发现很多，但形成海蚀崖的，只有漳浦、澎湖和花岙等很少几处，且多为灰黑玄武岩景观。

"Chinese National Geography" once described "Hua’ao Stone forest " such as, although the domestic columnar joints have be found a lot, there are only a few places, such as Zhangpu, Penghu and Hua’ao, formed cliffs, which are mostly gray and black basalt.
