　　5月21日，浙江省委书记车俊在浙江大学建校120周年纪念大会上发表讲话时说，浙江比以往任何时候都更加需要强有力的科技、人才支撑和实施教育、人才强省战略。

　　此前一天，江苏省委书记李强在首届江苏发展大会上作主旨演讲时表示，江苏的发展比任何时候都需要人才、渴求人才，“我们将致力打造具有世界影响的人才集聚高地，让更多人才加入到江苏发展中来”。

　　车俊指出，要高标准、宽视野、大气魄地推进学校建设和改革，打造出一批世界一流学科，汇聚一批世界一流大师、创造一批世界一流成果、培养一批世界一流人才，早日跻身世界一流大学行列；紧密结合浙江省委省政府重点工作、群众和经济社会发展需求，全面提升人才培养、科学研究、成果转化和社会服务水平，在浙江改革发展实践中发挥更大作用。

　　李强表示，江苏发展最突出的优势、最可依赖的支撑，就是科教人才。“为推动科教人才优势转化为发展的现实优势，我们坚持把创新驱动发展作为核心战略，把科教与人才强省作为基础战略，省市县都实施了一系列人才培养引进计划，努力聚天下英才而用之。”他说。
