April 19 morning local time, in the capital of Spain- Madrid’s Rajnavy International Conference Center, Hangzhou came to world attention once again.

　　

　　在现场三百余位与会代表的一致表决通过下，杭州赢得了城地组织2017年世界理事会的举办权。继G20杭州峰会之后，杭州将于2017年的十月，迎来世界60余个国家，近百座城市的近千名代表，共商全球化、信息化背景下的城市发展大计。

　　

　　More than 300 live delegates unanimously votes to let Hangzhou win the bid of 2017 world council of UCLG. After G20, Hangzhou will welcome in thousands of representatives of over 60 countries and hundreds of cities all over the world to pass on their concerns to develop urban under the background of globalization and information.

　　

　　此次杭州成功申办城地组织世界理事会，与近年来杭州与日俱增的国际影响力和知名度密不可分。自去年成功举办G20杭州峰会之后，杭州就以深厚历史文化底蕴与发达城市发展水平的完美结合，赢得了全球首肯。“独特韵味、中国特色、国际视野”更是成为杭州这座城市的崭新标签。秀美的湖光山色，发达的城市基础设施以及举世闻名的电子商务之都的美誉，都成为杭州赢得城地组织年度盛会的核心竞争力。

　　

　　This time Hangzhou can win the world council of UCLG bid is due to Hangzhou ’ s growing international influence and popularity in recent years.  Since the G20 in Hangzhou is held successfully, Hangzhou was affirmed by the world because of a perfect combination of a deeply rooted culture and developing level of a developed city. “Unique flavor , Chinese characters, international views” become Hangzhou’s new tags. Beautiful mountains and lakes, perfect municipal infrastructure construction and the reputation as the world-famous “capital of Chinese e-commerce” are core competences to win the bid.

　　At   Madrid conference, the representative of Hangzhou and deputy director of Foreign Affairs Office- Du Shigen said, Hangzhou welcomes representatives from every countries and cities from all over the world with increasingly open-mind and international standards to meet at West Lake, explore ways to counter challenges, find the solution and common prosperity.
